ZIPAIR will launch Tokyo (Narita) – Honolulu route on December 19
Tokyo, November 20, 2020 - ZIPAIR Tokyo will launch a new passenger flight service to Hawaii between Tokyo (Narita International Airport) and Honolulu (Daniel K. Inouye International Airport) beginning December 19, 2020. ZIPAIR plans to operate 16 round-trip flights through the end of January 2021, including year-end and New Year's holidays, to offer travelers a new option to and from Japan and Hawaii.

Two types of airfares are offered: "ZIP Full-Flat," which is a fare for higher-grade "ZIP Full-Flat" seats, and "Standard," which is a fare for regular seats. As part of the "Standard" fare, the "U6 Standard" fare for children under seven years of age is offered for a flat rate of USD64 one-way fare. This will enable all children, including infants under two years old, to be seated.

ZIPAIR Tokyo is Japan's first long-haul international LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) and is wholly owned by Japan Airlines. Based at Narita International Airport, ZIPAIR Tokyo operates passenger services on the Narita - Bangkok and Narita - Seoul routes.

Two service classes will be provided on the aircraft with 290 available seats, "ZIP Full-Flat" and "Standard." As the name suggests, the Business Class product features a 180-degree reclining seat and a spaciously designed area with privacy in mind. The carrier's Economy Class product utilizes artificial leather on each seat while featuring an ample seat pitch and width measuring 79 centimeters and 43 centimeters, respectively.
- Inflight Connectivity and Self-Ordering System

By connecting your smartphone or tablet to the inflight Wi-Fi, passengers will enjoy various inflight services at their convenience. Passengers can utilize the Inflight Self-Ordering and Payment System on all ZIPAIR flights via the free inflight Wi-Fi system available on the Boeing 787 aircraft. Using their own smart devices, passengers can have an enhanced inflight shopping experience up in the air, similar to online shopping on the ground. Orders are placed on an inflight web portal by the passenger using his or her smart device. The order is processed through the system, and the purchased item is delivered to the passenger’s seat by the cabin crew.
In addition, complimentary access to movies, music, and other entertainment content, as well as in-flight internet services, are available from their own smart devices.
